  1. Ok Mark, that's no problem.
I do want it one way or another so we'll see what the costs are.
    Thanks
    Simon
  2. Argh, lost the last 4 days laying a patio. Back to my office now I will get that shipping quote.
  3. Hi Mark.

Any joy with a shipping quote?
    Thanks mate

    Simon
  4. Morning Mark.
Thanks for the email and pics you sent over last night. No need to apologise about not finding a shipping quote, just let me know when you have one.
I've been talking to my mechanic about it and he was concerned about being able to check it over, but I think it will be fine knowing the history about how you came to own it etc rather than just a for sale advert

    Thanks
    Simon
  5. Ok mate, we'll sort something out.
I've got an early start so no need to explain, I'll leave you to wind down and get some sleep.
My post code is CT7 OBP.

    Speak to you tomorrow Mark.

    Thanks
    Simon
  6. I'll get onto my laptop in the morning for the email Simon, I can arrange delivery, the engine is securely and safely palletised using a courier this could get to you easily, rather that than travelling with it in the boot of the car, of course you are welcome to collect it. I could take the full asking £1750 and include delivery by insured courier. If you'll excuse me I've got a 5am start tomorrow, I'll get you the email in the morning. Would you give me your postcode to let me get costs for delivery and see what I might do with the price

  7. I'd really appreciate a copy of those emails Mark, would make for interesting reading.
Christ, 315bhp must have been like being strapped to a rocket.
That's understandable, knowing what it would cost to rebuild my engine to that spec. I was going to offer £1500 for it, but in light of the last message, would £1600 be more agreeable? The only other hurdle is the distance between us, approximately 8.5 hours each way.
    Thanks
    Simon
  8. I'm not sure of the colour of the car, Jabba built it around 2008, I think it was a chap called "Kevin". I'll look out the email tomorrow for you Simon. I believe it has the ECU included mapped and ready to go. It ran on track with the wick turned down, 280bhp, to maintain reliability, Jabba had it mapped to 315bhp, the huge power and reliability attributed to a massive intercooler, this isn't included but I know it's easy to get another made Jabba might even be able to do exactly the same one again. I'd love to see it go to someone who wants it. Price, it comes with a cast iron provenance, great power and specification Simon, I'm not keen on taking a lower bid to be honest, but there is no harm in having a gaggle.
    Cheers

  9. Was it out of their burgundy one? They seemed ever so helpful when they mapped my setup. If you have those emails, Id appreciate any copies. My email is sjbar25@gmail.com.
Does it come with the ECU already mapped or is it just the mechanicals for sale?
And, is the price negotiable at all (bet you knew that was coming)?
Shame you didn't get chance to use this setup.
    I'm very interested indeed.
    Thanks Mark

    Simon
  10. I certainly did, saw it run in a track Corrado with great success, very reliably too. The owner changed to 1.8T power and I jumped at the chance to own this setup, but no I never got the opportunity to run it my Corrado has been stored away now for a few years.
The engine was originally built by a member of Jabbasport as his daily and I spoke with him to confirm the specification before I purchased it. I'm sure I kept the emails too which I can forward to you if you want to give me your email address?
    Cheers
    Mark
